The year 1883 in Omena Michigan, the A.F. Anderson General Store began its operations. Providing for the small community for 47 years, the building would continue under various ownership tenures as a general store. The next adventure for the iconic building would be an art gallery founded by Sally and David Viskochil in 1976. This gallery called Tamarack Craftsman Gallery would become not only a staple in the northern Michigan art scene for almost 50 years, but so much more than that because of David and Sally and their contributions and commitment to building community.

Hillary and I (Matt) are honored to be the next stewards of this space under the name V Gallery, a nod to the Viskochil’s, and also the “V” of our last name Voight. We are honored to showcase the work of an amazingly talented group of mostly local artists. Please stop by and enjoy our wonderful eclectic selection of mostly paintings, and enjoy yourself in little Omena. See you soon.
